Spring is in the air folks! Last night Dave and I worked in the garden, adding some compost and nice organic soil to our raised beds. We also weeded some of the plants in pots, and added dirt to a bunch of planters in which we're planning on growing sunflowers. Tonight we're going to plant radishes, carrots, lettuce, and peas. It might be a touch too late for the peas, but I'm optomistic. I have some ideas on how to keep the backyard critters from treating the garden like it's a salad bar, wish me luck!
I also finally ordered some really nice tomato ladders and cages from Gardeners Supply, plus a new hose, expandable pea fences, and some grow-through supports for dahlias and peonies.
The summer plans are shaping up too. A trip to Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland. A long weekend in DC, maybe in August. Seeing Jack Johnson at Madison Square Garden. Oh, and my college reunion! Even Dave is excited about it, there are lots of classes being offered (we're really looking forward to the one on dark matter in the new Science Center!).
I'm also slowly revamping the blog, streamlining it a bit, and trying to post more. Certainly more pictures, and recipes too.
Have a great day everyone, and I hope the weather is nice where you are!
